Escape was closed. Surprisingly, i wasn't sad. I knew the day wouldn't go to waste. We ended up in a museum.
Museums are such fun! I not only learn about artists and their background, I also get to see art done by professionals. Most art I've seen are pieces of Georgia O'Keefe or van Gogh on the internet or otherwise, amateur art by students. Borring... Walking through the galleries make me feel like curator or some museum caretaker. Just like in Da vinci Code! haha... the feeling's creepy too. Every step I take creaks the parquet floor. However, I must admit, most art pieces were rather unappealing. Things like chinese paintings with chinese meanings, abstract art and portraits. yucks. But I learnt new stuff! Types of art like cubism, the imagination of the artist, underlining meanings in art pieces and best of all, oil on canvas! Somehow, I like oil on canvas. Or maybe, its the artist called whatshisname whose technique 's so good. Visiting the museum changes my perspective on art. Art is now coolness to me. Except chinese paintings.
The art queen. She sketches, shades, paints and creates. I admire your artist mind. I reflect deeply on the interpretations of art you come up with which enlights my shallow view. It helps me appreciate the beauty of life. I'm just a nerdy scientist who pouts constantly. Paint brushes and pencils are your best friends while microbes are mine. Worlds apart but hearts knitted closely together. I love you.
