I can't help but laugh to myself. I been doing that all day today. That is, when I think about Manutd's smash and grab win over Liverpool yesterday. Isn't it just marvellous to be a fan of Manchester United, the greatest football club in the world, in times like these? Manutd, under heavy pressure from the Kop, playing with 10 men after 85 mins, scoring a goal in injury time against the run of play? I've been watching replays after replays of the goal O'Shea scored. After each one I shake my head and think, poor Liverpool. Unbeaten at home since October 2005, here came mighty ManU and in a flash, stole victory.
It's been like this for the past few matches:
Lille 0-1 Manutd (Giggsy scores a quick controversial free kick in the 82nd which prompted Lille players to stage a walkout.)
Fulham 1-2 Manutd (McBride puts Fulham ahead but Giggs equalizes for United. We then snatch victory through Ronaldo who skins 3 defenders en route to goal in the 88th.)
Reading 2-3 Manutd (United up 3-0 in 6mins. What more to say? We slacken, Reading clawed back 2 and smacked one against the bar. whew..)
Liverpool 0-1 Manutd (Shots: Liverpool,14 Manutd,4. Corners: liverpool,12 manutd,2. Scholes sent off on 85 mins. 90+1 min, Ronaldo drills in a free kick, goalie spills the ball, O'Shea hammers it into the net.)
It's criminal, I tell you, the way we win games. But that's what makes ManUtd. We do things the hard way.
